Since my last reference post involved some more dry lecture style videos, I wanted to switch gears and provide some more entertaining videos showing the account of the First Vision. This may be a good place to start if you are a more visual learner.

These videos are great for family time. I have included some videos that are even great for toddlers and little children.

Let me know how your family experience went. Which videos did you watch? What did you like about them? You can comment below. Your comments and experiences may uplift others or give them ideas on how to implement these videos into a family gathering.

Links

Stick puppet style video, 3:37 long, from Latter Day Kids, good for younger children

Infographic style explanation, 5:22 long, part of the Now You Know series, good for pre-teens & teens

Video based on scripture account, 2:06 long, from Church History Channel, older kids and the whole family

Cinematic account based on scripture 4:15 long, from Come Unto Christ video; kids all ages and the whole family

If you haven't read the account of the First Vision in the Pearl of Great Price in the scriptures, I recommend reading it for yourself in the Joseph Smith History section.

Also, if you haven't seen previous blog posts, please read about President Nelson's invitation on this page and other posts I wrote to help you get started with his invitation.
