Dr. Casey Paul Griffiths gives an in-depth review of the First Vision as captured by film through the ages. This is not a cinematic production, but another recording of a live lecture from the BYU Library Lecture series about the First Vision. However, it is very well put together. He chronicles all the known cinematography and details aspects of filming in regards to historical accuracy. Clips are provided from most of the films he discussed. He also invites director - producer David K. Jacobs of the 1976 film "The First Vision" to answer some questions. I love having the historian's perspective of the productions and his testimony next to the first hand experience and testimony of the producer shown during the question and answer section at the end of the lecture.
During this difficult time worldwide, I hope that you have found ways to "Hear Him." Please consider posting your comments and sharing your testimony on this website. We are all uplifted with your positive comments.
This weekend is General Conference and I hope you have found meaningful ways to connect with the First Vision and Joseph Smith in your preparation. If you have just started, consider reviewing President Nelson's invitation to "Hear Him"
